A New Dawn
In Cornerstone, there’s natural light for most of time, reflected from the nearby moon. The moon starts setting every Friday on the Earth´s day cycle and starts rising again on Monday, casting light over the entire island.
Cornerstonians
The living beings of Cornerstone are human-featured avatars called “Cornerstonians”. It’s up to them to grant the right to build in the region they own.
Cornerstonians can invite guests to their own regions as a foundational right of land ownership. Avatars are crafted based on your instructions utilizing the latest metahuman technology.
Own and Build
Land buyers are granted the right to build whatever they want on their land based on the building credits and construction materials they own. Cornerstonians hold ownership of everything they build.
Explore and Invite
Cornerstonians can explore the land outside their region according to the access rights of other landowners and invite guests on to their land.
Create and Sell
The land can be resold to people outside the community, in which case the new owner will become a Cornerstonian. Anything that’s built can be resold to other Cornerstonians. Building materials and construction credits can also be resold within the community. Even guest invitations can be sold to other Cornerstonians.

ERC-721 is a standard for representing ownership of NFTs where each token is unique. The users can easily verify the ownership and transaction history of each NFT. Each piece of land is unique and digitally certified by the Ethereum smart contracts.

What is this?
Cornerstone is a virtual environment and community for individuals and businesses to start to create their presence in the metaverse. Once you buy a piece of land, you can design what you want to build and we will take care of the technical construction process.
What is the purpose?
We want to offer individuals and businesses a photorealistic virtual environment where they can host events, organize launches and showcase their products/services.
Who has made this?
Cornerstone.land is created by ZOAN, a virtual studio based in Helsinki, Finland. We are specialized in high-quality graphics and immersive technologies for the past 11 years.
Who runs Cornerstone?
Cornerstone.land is run by ZOAN in the beginning but we are extremely interested in finding a way to make decentralized governance for the Cornerstone.
What can I do there?
You can build, explore, interact and invite people to your virtual space. The future roadmap allows you to host events, launches and showcase your offering.
How can I get there? Mobile, VR-headset, etc?
First, the experience is built on a web browser to guarantee that everyone user can access it easily. In our roadmap, VR headset is highly prioritized to get a fully immersive experience.
Can I invite others?
At first, the number of invitations is limited to a few invitations per day, but as we are able to scale the cloud infrastructure more invitations will be granted.
What makes this different from others?
We wanted to create a close-to real-life virtual experience. Hence, we are building photorealistic virtual environments using the Unreal game engine and making it available via web browser we guarantee that the experience will be something that the users have not experienced before.

How can I buy land?
All the transactions are handled by a Fun.gi platform. To buy land from Cornerstone.land, you need ETH cryptocurrency. Smart contracts are stored on the blockchain.
When can I buy land?
The first NFT drop is scheduled for January 2022. The land plots are sold as sequences.
Can I build my own building and create 3D assets?
When you buy land, you receive a predefined amount of building credits that permit you to build structures and assets. All the constructions are done by ZOAN. You own all the 3D models and assets that you build on your land. If you have existing 3D models that you would like to implement to your virtual space, feel free to contact us.
How can I access my land?
Via web browser (desktop/mobile). And later VR-headset.
Can I move freely on the Cornerstone land?
At first, the exploration of the cornerstone.land is restricted to your own land and public areas. As the construction phase is completed, the landowners can choose if the other members of the community or invited users can enter their land for free, with an invitation or with an admission fee.
Can I resell my property?
As the NFT is verified in the ETH blockchain, the ownership is transferable, and the secondary market will be part of the community that is happy to welcome new members through the land sale. Even you would sell your land your access as a member to the public and explorable virtual spaces will remain.
Can I talk or interact with other cornerstonians?
In the first version, communication happens via chat functionality.
